Then it\u2019s time for the shaving soap from the tube, mixed with a little water to create foam. After that it\u2019s shaving time, and this kit works with both a traditional razor and the Philips Oneblade which I love. The aftershave is gentle and soothing, leaves a matte finish. I like the gentle scent and the feeling of an at-home barbershop ritual. It\u2019s nice. Oh, and the aesthetic is delightfully retro. The pre-shave cream and soap need a shake\/stir before use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve tested quite a few of shaving products – aftershaves, shaving gels, foams – geared towards men, and this set takes the #1 spot so far when it comes to overall comfort of use. I have to say that the pre-shave + soap combo gives a great slip to a traditional razor, and helps my Oneblade with catching all of the little hairs it would\u2019ve otherwise missed. These two are standouts that I\u2019ll probably repurchase on my own. With the aftershave\u2026 I much prefer to layer a lot of soothing & barrier repairing products, so I\u2019m not as crazy about it.
