IOPE Gluta-Vitamin C is a multitasking vitamin C serum
Actives:
- 25% vitamin C complex (ascorbic acid, ethyl derivative, tetra derivative)
- caffeine
- NAG (tone evening)
- panthenol
- glutathione
On application:
THIS SERUM IS TO BE STORED IN THE FRIDGE – as per the brand’s instructions. It’s watery with a slight oily slip (the oil phase stabilises the ascorbic acid). The fragrance isn’t too pungent. The bottle looks huge, but it’s only 23 mls. Didn’t oxidise after a month of use – that’s a plus.
My thoughts:
IOPE (from the same conglomerate as Sulwhasoo) is kind of a Korean answer to NIOD or Strivectin – unconventional formulas rooted in scientifically proven ingredients. I enjoy that. This serum features ascorbic acid in a synergistic blend with other actives in a base that prevents premature oxidation. I’ve had a pleasant experience with it and I could see some illumination – and that’s why I use vitamin C.
