The Ordinary Retinal is a pretty affordable retinal option.

- Retinal 0,2% (liposomal)
- ergothioneine (antioxidant)
- 4-t-butylocyclohexanol (lowering skin reactivity)
- bisabolol (soothing)
- ceramide analogues
On application:
Classic retinal creamy serum. Easy to spread around, sinks into the skin quickly with no residue. Fragrance free. 2-3 pumps on the face+neck last me 1,5 months. Not that great, but it’s only 15 ml.
My thoughts:
It’s a functional product focused on delivering stable retinal in a soothing formula. It’s not that affordable when we discuss cost per ml, but it’s nice (especially when bought in Deceit’s Slowvember). I’d love to see more synergistic actives to support retinal, not only soothing ones. It’s a bit intense for some people, but I didn’t experience that. It cleared my nose pores very well. I liked it a lot.
For you, if: you’re looking for an easily accessible retinal, at least medium-strength.
Not for you, if: you’re looking for a gentle retinoid or something more multitasking.
