Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Drops is glowy skin in a bottle.
Actives:
- Niacinamide (concentration is about 2-5% AFAIK)
- Botanical extracts focused on hydration
- Hyaluronic acid
On application:
This gel serum is an incredible product whose main purpose is to singlehandedly create a glowy finish. Spreads easily, layers well. You can also use it over makeup as a highlighter to create a wet look. I’ve heard people mix their foundation with this with a great, glowy effect. Watermelon fragrance.
My thoughts:
Don’t look here for groundbreaking actives or long-term skincare results. I’d also say that if you aren’t a glowy skin person stop reading this review right now – this product is all about giving you that succulent, reflective skin. When I apply this I’m always impressed with the way it creates a light-reflecting layer on my skin that somehow lasts through the day, even with sunscreen/makeup on top. The emollients used here are blended so well!
If you are a makeup artist I’d heavily consider having this in your skin prep kit because it easily turns dry, lifeless skin into a hydrated, smooth canvas. I love it for skin prep, love it on dull skin days, I’d even say it’s a must try if you’re a believer in glowy skin.
For you, if: you want your skin to GLOW, or do skin prep often.
Not for you, if: you prefer a matte finish to your skin, or don’t buy into the idea of a glow serum.
