YSL Libre Le Parfum is a sweet, crowd-pleasing honey gourmand.

Notes:

Top – Ginger, Saffron, Mandarin, Bergamot

Middle – Orange flower, Lavender

Base – Bourbon vanilla, Honey, Tonka, Vetiver

My thoughts: 

This is a fabulously blended, sweet gourmand. My favourite designer release of 2022, smooth and delicious. It’s a safe fragrance that is easy to like, but that’s the goal when we’re talking about the designer market. I love to wear it, and on my skin it isn’t as sweet as on a paper, with traces of lavender and ginger. If you seek the lavender notes reminiscent of the OG Libre or Intense – you might not enjoy this one as much, because it’s mostly vanilla, tonka and honey. It’s also very layerable – I particularly like it with Magnificently Dubai (Jo Malone x Zara), for a mouthwatering, dark leathery gourmand experience that brings out the saffron and spices out of both fragrances.

Performance is very good, with strong sillage (leaves a trail!) and satisfactory longevity.
