Pacifica Vegan Ceramide Barrier Face Cream

Pacifica Vegan Ceramide Barrier Face Cream

Pacifica Vegan Ceramide Barrier Face Cream is a matte recovery moisturiser – something you don’t see every day.

Actives:

  • Ceramides + lipids
  • Aminoacids, sodium PCA
  • Oat kernel flour, calendula (soothing)
  • Niacinamide
  • Hexapeptide

On application:

First of all – this is truly matte on my skin. There’s no shine, and even when I layer different glowy serums under it the finish becomes matte the second I put it on. I’m not mad, mainly because it doesn’t dehydrate or dry out the skin. Spreads well enough for a matte product and the skin feels soft & pleasant afterwards. It’s fragrance free, but the formula has a nice, creamy scent. Since it has quite a few mattifying ingredients it can pill a bit when used in more maximalist routines/under makeup – keep that in mind.

My thoughts:

As much as I roll my eyes at the name (to my knowledge vegan ceramides used in skincare are nothing new, and are pretty common but I get the appeal of the vegan claim), it’s a good product, and for the price the INCI is stacked. It’s actually both regenerating and matte, which isn’t a common combo. I liked using it and since it’s actually regenerating I feel like it’s probably one of the best post-shaving creams for men (because most men tend to like their finishes matte). The textural elegance is nice to see in an inexpensive product like this.

For you, if: you need a regenerating matte moisturiser.

Not for you, if: you like a dewy/glowy moisturiser finish.
