Garnier Vitamin C Super Serum is an affordable hit!
Actives:
- 3,5% complex of 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid – vitamin C derivative, Niacinamide and Salicylic Acid)
- Phenylethyl Resorcinol (tone correction
On application:
It’s a lightweight, fast-absorbing watery gel serum. Fragranced, intensely, but thankfully the scent doesn’t linger. Very easy to use, suitable for all skin types. Thanks to its watery texture it can be easily used up even when the dropper doesn’t reach the near-empty product. Not very hydrating/moisturising.
My thoughts:
I love formulas with synergic ingredients, and that’s nothing new. In here we have a nice multitasking complex – a proof that even a low concentration of actives can be really effective when done well. It does work – I saw an improvement especially on post-blemish marks and on my nose pores/sebaceous filaments. I’ve seen rave reviews from reviewers with different skin types, and the price is absolutely right here. I prefer it for daytime use, but you can use it as a night serum with no problems. When it comes to drugstore daytime serums – it’s my fave to date.
I also enjoy the environmental declarations on Garnier’s website – they are verified, quantified and transparent. That’s the way to do it!
For you, if: you’re looking for one, inexpensive day serum, especially a mildly exfoliating/PIE correcting one
Not for you, if: you prefer separate vitamin C/salicylic acid products or require a more nourishing serum.
You can buy it at most drugstores.
