Sesderma Azelac RU serum is worth checking out if you have a tendency to get discolouration.
Actives:
- butylresorcinol
- undecylenoyl phenylalanine
- ascorbyl glucoside (vitamin C derivative)
- azelaic, tranexamic and glycyrhhetynic acids
On application:
A standard lotion-y serum. Lightweight and quite florally scented, which is usual for Sesderma. Very pleasant on application. Theoretically formulated for nighttime use. All skin types friendly.
My thoughts:
This serum contains retinoids, but I think it’s more of a homeopathic addition, so I’ve been using it as a retinal buffer. This would be a great use for hyperpigmentation-prone skin that’s not very sensitive. I don’t have hyperpigmentation, so I’ve been using it on fresh, red post-blemish marks. It’s quite effective for that. Liposomal technology is a big plus here!
For you, if: you don’t have particularly sensitive skin & would like to add a serum to your hyperpigmentation routine.
Not for you, if: your skin is sensitive and/or you don’t have hyperpigmentation.
