Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud is an interesting, sweet oud.

- Base – Oud, Praline, Vanilla
My thoughts:
I love fragrances that balance being heavy and sweet. Gourmand notes like praline and vanilla join intense oud (much like most of oud fragrances at this price point, the oud is a bit screechy here). The rose is also sweet, jammy even. Despite that, the entire fragrance isn’t overly sweet, it’s quite well balanced, but looking at the price we shouldn’t be too surprised that it doesn’t reach MFK’s Oud Satin Mood or Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet level of smoothness. By the way, Oud Bouquet is its more expensive, and arguably better counterpart, especially if you need your oud to be smooth and elegant. Longevity and sillage are atomic. Its affordability makes it hard to dismiss!
