Cicaplast Baume B5+ is a reformulation of the classic Cicaplast.
Actives:
- panthenol
- centella: extract & madecassoside
- zinc, manganese, aluminum, magnesium
- prebiotic complex
On application:
Thick, a tad greasy and white cream. Leaves a white cast, especially on darker skin tones. For me it’s strictly a night cream thanks to that, I don’t really use it during the day, except when used as a mask (see my reel here). After applying it’s very much there and gives an oily-leaning glow.
My thoughts:
When used as a mask – 10/10, any time, any place. When used as a cream – it gets more complicated. Users divide into two camps – ’old Cicaplast was better’, and ’the new one is better’. I’m somewhere between them. I like the more moisturising feel, but the greasy glow is off putting to be honest. There are some people who think it isn’t as good with recovery as the old one. I found the recovery to be good, but the coveted occlusive effect seems to be less pronounced than in the old one. For me the dealbreaker is the low textural elegance – white cast is a no for me, especially in the facial hair area. For daily use I prefer other, more elegant recovery options (Zelens Power D, Skinfix Triple Lipid and others…)
For you, if: you look for an inexpensive soothing-recovery product
Not for you, if: you don’t like heavier creams.
