Ph.Doctor Tetra C is a brightening/antioxidant serum lotion.

Actives:

  • vitamin C (Tetra derivative) 3% concentration
  • oils & extracts for conditioning and softening the skin
  • hyaluronic acid combined with silanetriol (humectant)
  • allantoin and panthenol (soothing)

On application:

Lotion-y serum with a balanced weight – it doesn’t leave a greasy layer, but it’s quite nourishing. Absorbs quickly. Has a faint scent that dissipates quickly. I’ve heard that some people have seen it pill on them, but I’ve never had this issue through a couple of bottles I’ve used, and believe me I’ve used it in every product combination. The only thing I’d actually have an issue with is the dropper, which makes it hard to get all of the liquid out, and you have to spill it out. Messy, but ultimately acceptable.

My thoughts:

The serum is pleasant and easy to use. It’s nourishing, and oilier skins can even skip moisturiser after it. A low, but effective concentration of vitamin C enables us to combine it with other actives in one routine – acids, retinal, niacinamide. I enjoy that. I happily return to this product, because it makes my skin look extra well-rested. It’s also decently priced.

For you, if: you enjoy a lotion vitamin C serum.

Not for you, if: you prefer more watery antioxidant serums.
