Matiere Premiere Radical Rose is an overdose of rose centifolia.

My thoughts:
This fragrance is inspired by Rose Centifolia cultivated on the brand’s proprietary fields, under the watchful eye of their master perfumer and co-founder, Aurélien Guichard (you can find my interview with him HERE). The rose absolute is surrounded by earthy patchouli and labdanum, creating a mixture reminiscent of smelling a giant, blooming rose. The photorealism of this olfactory image and its intensity are commendable – the supporting notes are never screechy or overwhelming, they are here to compliment the rose and bring its different facets out. It’s a very good blend, and the rose reigns supreme. I love this scent, it’s a compliment getter, layers great with other fragrances and has very nice sillage and longevity. Worth your attention!
