Panouge Perle Rare is an elegant, woody-floral scent.
Notes:
- Top – pear, osmanthus, neroli
- Middle – jasmine, orange blossom, rose
- Base – cashmeran, sandalwood, patchouli
My thoughts:
This composition was actually created by one of the most accomplished and celebrated perfumers – THE Francis Kurkdjian. People have been comparing it to Mugler’s Alien, but they are different. Alien (which I like) seems linear and screechy next to this beauty. The white florals are not as linear as in Alien, they are a dewy bouquet, and I can feel some lily-of-the-valley notes (not included in the official note pyramid). The woody base is perfected as well, giving the scent a grounded, dry finish. Love how well balanced this feels. And if you like Alien you will LOVE this. Sillage is comfortable without being overwhelming and longevity is very good. And to think I wouldn’t pay it any attention if it wasn’t for Impressium’s fab customer service!
