The Saro De Rue freeze-dried hyaluronic acid is a deeply hydrating treatment!
Actives:
- tablet: hyaluronic acid (98,5% of the tablet), squalane, vitamin E
- serum: botanical extracts, niacinamide, allantoin, adenosine – visual tightening, antioxidant, brightening
On application:
It’s used by mixing a freshly opened tablet with 8-10 serum droplets – you get a thick, gel serum best applied on damp skin. It’s kind of sticky, but it’s good. It’s mainly suitable for PM use, a bit too heavy for the AM. I apply it after cleansing or ca. 15 minutes after applying retinal, before moisturiser.
My thoughts:
I got this as a GWP with the Gothamista essence, and I’ve expected this to be a gimmicky products, but… I’m very impressed. It all begins with a freeze-dried HA tablet that’s freshly mixed with the ’activator’ – a hydrating, antioxidant serum (the one from the set or any other) – and the hydration it gives is amazing. The skin is plump, glowy, juicy, fresh… looks better than after the majority of hydrating masks I’ve tried, so there must be some truth to the freeze-drying of the HA. I’ve used it every other day as the brand suggests. If only not for the price…
