Trinny Overnight Clarity is a stable retinal serum.
Actives:
- retinal (encapsulated in cyclodextrin, 0,15%)
- niacinamide
- PAD
- botanical extracts (antioxidants, soothing)
On application:
Creamy, yellow serum. It’s one of the most pleasant retinal products I’ve ever used, very spreadable, never gets streaky and dries down quickly. Fragrance free. My dry skin needed moisturiser afterwards, but not every skin will need it.
My thoughts:
I have to compare it with my number one retinal – the Ph.Doctor RetinALL. When it comes to pure retinal power they are comparable, with Trinny being a touch more gentle. Both have a nice overnight blemish fighting component thanks to their supporting cast. Ph.Doctor is more focused on hyperpigmentation, and TL doesn’t have PIH evening ingredients. Trinny is more elegant texturally, and the packaging is more luxe. Would I repurchase? Probably not, because I can get Ph.Doc, similar value for half the price.

Not for you, if: you’re already happy with a cheaper retinal.
