La Belle Lune Witching Hour / Nightbloom are a sensory treat in a cleansing balm.
Actives:
– oil blend (including poppy and cherry – rarely seen in cosmetics) and emulsifiers
On application:
This cleansing balm formula is a bit looser than traditional cleansing balms, even gel-like. When it’s massaged into the skin you start to notice what sets it apart – the divine scents. Both versions have the same formula that rinses off easily and melts off makeup and sunscreen without leaving oily residue behind. On warm days it’s best to keep them in the fridge because they can melt (that doesn’t impact the product’s quality). Glass packaging is lovely. La Belle Lune did the thing!
Witching Hour smells like palmarosa geranium and clary sage, the scent is earthy, dry and herbal. It definitely fits the brand’s magical aesthetic to a T.
Nightbloom is my fave. It’s a floral garden on a moonlit night. You can smell the realistic honeysuckle, dripping with nectar, the violets and jasmine finished with smoky, woody notes in the background. It’s impressive.
My thoughts:
Well, do I have to say more? This and the Then I Met You cleansing balm are my absolute favourites, and the fragrances are way beyond the standard skincare scents we’re used to. Even when it comes to skincare made by fragrance brands. Perfect gift ideas for people who enjoy beautiful scents. La Belle Lune is THE indie brand for a full branding experience.
For you, if: you enjoy scented skincare and/or balm cleansers
Not for you, if: you prefer oil-free cleansers or your skin is sensitive to essential oils.
