Vichy Liftactiv B3 is an effective anti-discolouration serum
Actives:
- exfoliating – 8% blend, including HEPES and about 1-2% of glycolic acid
- depigmenting – niacinamide, tranexamic acid, ascorbic glucoside (vit. C derivative)
- rice peptides
- humectants – glycerin, hydroxyethyl urea
On application:
Watery, spreadable serum. A few drops is enough for the entire face. Fragrance free. After drying down it isn’t palpable on the skin. Can be used AM & PM – doesn’t exfoliate in an irritating way.
My thoughts:
It’s a well thought out product that combines a few skin tone evening mechanisms – gentle exfoliation, inhibiting melanin production and its intercellular transport. Just add a retinoid and you have a great tone evening duo. It’s cost effective, because one bottle will last you at least two months. The lightweight formula and multi-pathway mechanism of action make this a safe bet if you’re prone to hyperpigmentation.

Not for you, if: you don’t have skin discolouration.
