Pariens Velvet Peptide Cream is a great, slightly mattifying moisturiser
Actives:
- Bifida & Pseudoalteromonas ferments (soothing)
- numerous peptides – visual skin smoothing
- hyaluronic acid, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, algin – hydration
- Botanical extract, hydrolysed soy protein
On application:
A medium thick cream that relaxes on the skin and turns lightweight. It’s mattifying, but non-drying. the finish it gives is a luminous matte – it’s not a dry and lifeless matte, it’s a velour, optically, smoothing blur. It does nourish your skin, despite leaving it mad, which for me is definitely a plus it’s suitable for a.m. and p.m. use. The fragrance is quite strong and lingering as with many Pariens products but it’s quite pretty. Works very well under make up and/or sunscreen, it can even help with mattifying them.
My thoughts:
Pariens moisturisers are basically my favourite Polish creams and it’s not different with the Velvet. It’s one of the few matte-finish creams that I enjoy. It looks great on the skin. It’s versatile and works with other skincare products and with make up. A jar will last you quite a long time, the price isn’t bad either!
For you, if: you’re looking for a mattifying, but nourishing day cream.
Not for you, if: you prefer dewy moisturisers (get the Wonder Face Cream)
