La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 is a simple, lightweight and effective hydrating serum.
Actives:
- panthenol, madecassoside – soothing
- hyaluronic acid, glycerin
On application:
Gel-like, lightweight serum – the addition of alcohol makes it absorb really fast. The finish it leaves is sticky, similar to a typical hydrating serum finish. Due to the fact that it’s kind of runny, the square-ish dropper works better than in C10. Surprisingly pleasant to use.
My thoughts:
Great for hydration – I love it under a LED mask or under my Experiment reusable mask. Does it do more than just hydration? Not really, but it doesn’t have to – it’s what it’s made for after all. The alcohol evaporates quickly and doesn’t dry the skin out. Great under retinal, after cleansing, well, in every scenario. I did not expect to like it so much since my faves in the hydration category are incredibly good, but here we are. It’s not as good as some of my faves, but it’s cheaper than most, so…
For you, if: you’re looking for a hydrating serum that won’t weigh the skin down.
Not for you, if: you prefer hydrating serums to be more multitasking – try the Lancome Genifique or Estes Lauder ANR.
