Avene Tolerance Control is a lightweight, soothing cream.
Actives:
- Avene thermal water
- Aquaphilus dolomiae filtrate
On application:
Lightweight, fragrance-free cream that feels almost like a serum. On application it feels weightless compared to other soothing creams, there’s no film, no greasiness. It can be layered upon itself or used as a reapplied cream on recovery days. The pump ensures that the product is sterile, which is great in a soothing product like this. There is also a Baume version that I need to try – it’s more substantial.
My thoughts:
First of all – despite it being 40 ml I haven’t seen much difference when it comes to longevity compared to 50 ml creams. I’ve been using it more like a morning moisturiser (it did a great job of soothing my redness when I introduced P50). Suitable for post-treatment use, feels actually calming and makes a difference. At first glance the INCI might appear boring, but the simple composition does the job – that’s why we don’t judge products without trying them out first!
For you, if: you need a soothing or after-treatment cream that will still be lightweight.
Not for you, if: you like rich creams (the Baume version will probably be a better fit)
