Clarins Cryo-Flash Cream Mask is cool, in more ways than one.
Actives:
- Menthone glycerin acetal – a cooling, less irritating menthol derivative
- botanical extracts and aescin (antioxidants)
On application:
A thick, creamy mask that feels cooling instantly. It can tingle a bit, especially if you’re somebody that doesn’t enjoy the menthol sensation on your skin. I like it, so it wasn’t a problem for me. Wash it off after 10 minutes (I sometimes left it on for 15). I used cold water to prolong the cooling sensation. Patting with a flannel is advised, because the mask does grip the skin well and your hands might not be enough. The skin feels soft and chilled afterwards.
My thoughts:
I’ve bought a full size and a trial size, and received a backup from Clarins. I won’t share those backups, because it turns out I loved this product. My skin felt calm, collected, more even, just good. It last me a good while, worked well and was a sensory treat. It might seem gimmicky (and to an extent I agree), but it’s fun, effective, and made me feel like I’ve had a mini SPA session after a long workday.
For you, if: you like masks that can be felt on the skin (cooling)
Not for you, if: you don’t like the feel of menthol on the face.
