Is Clinical Pro Heal is an antioxidant, glow-giving serum.
Actives:
- 15% ascorbic acid
- zinc, botanical extracts (soothing)
- bioflavonoids, vitamin E (antioxidants)
- retinol
- arbutin (tone evening)
On application:
Watery serum with no fragrant additives. Quickly dries down, doesn’t feel shiny on the skin. Apply once daily, after cleansing, in the AM or PM (not twice daily).
My thoughts:
The serum hasn’t oxidised during use, which was over 2 months for me (it’s yellow because of other ingredients, not oxidised vitamin C), so that’s a big plus. I’ve been using my 15 ml bottle for well over 2 months (every second day, alternating with P50W), and I’ve used a lot more than the recommended amount of 2-3 drops. So the price isn’t that bad.
The serum claims to soothe and help skin with healing, especially with PIE – I found this to be true, and whenever I had a blemish it healed much quicker. I also loved the glow it gave me. The INCI might read like an irritating killer, but I haven’t felt any irritation, peeling or increased redness, and I haven’t discontinued retinal use. So I think retinol might be more of an antioxidant and gently stimulating additive, not the main attraction.
For you, if: you’re looking for an ascorbic acid serum with a twist.
Not for you, if: the price is way beyond your usual range.
