Cerave blemish control cleanser is a strong salicylic acid cleanser.
Actives:
- salicylic acid (2%)
- niacinamide
- gluconolactone (PHA acid)
- ceramides, lipids
On application:
Slippery gel that foams after adding water. Thinner in texture. A small amount is enough to cleanse effectively. Much like with other Cerave cleansers – there are no sensorial fireworks. It’s a utility product. The skin feels clean, but a bit stripped after washing it off.
My thoughts:
This won’t be a daily cleanser for anybody (twice daily is OVERKILL). Even for the oiliest, most blackhead-prone skins. It will devour you barriers. Once every couple days – great. I love it on the body though, and I take a shower with it after my gym sessions, leaving it for a minute before washing it off. Wouldn’t do that if I were pregnant!
For you, if: you’re looking for a product that will effectively cleanse the body after a sweaty workout/day/training.
Not for you, if: your skin is sensitive and/or it doesn’t need an exfoliating cleanser.
