Dr Schrammek Perfect Beauty Fluid is a soothing BB cream.

Actives:

  • sunscreen filters – organic and inorganic (zinc oxide, octocrylene, Uvinul A Plus, octinoxate, tinosorbn S)
  • panthenol, allantoin, bisabolol, botanical extracts (soothing)
  • rosmarinic acid

On application:

It’s a pretty thick BB cream. It spreads quite comfortably, but I like using fingers for it. Won’t be as good with a sponge or brush. This version is said to be suitable for dry skin, but I wouldn’t say it’s super nourishing nor shiny. It’s pretty matte on my skin. Not a dry matte, a nice matte that I enjoy. Can gather in fine lines after a long day, but it’s not very noticeable. I mix Ivory and Beige 1:1, with Ivory being super pale. Coverage – light, buildable.

My thoughts:

While it has SPF15, I would not use it for photo protection, because you won’t be able to apply enough. I used it either on its own in the evening, or over a full layer of a standalone sunscreen. This has been on the market for decades (it’s the first BB cream ever), and the formula is a bit… vintage in feel.

It does excel on irritated skin, though. It can cover redness well, even post-treatment, and I don’t think there are many products like this, that are basically Cicaplast mixed with a foundation. It’s the skincare-makeup hybrid we needed all along!

For you, if: you’re looking for a BB cream that covers redness and calms the skin.

Not for you, if: you prefer lightweight complexion products.

I’ve collaborated with the brand on a paid partnership before – it does not impact this review in any way.
