Dermalogica Oil to Foam Total Cleanser washes everything off in one step

On application:
Runny gel with a non-greasy feel on the skin. You’re supposed to apply it on dry skin and massage, then add water and massage again, for about 30-45 seconds. It foams quite a bit, the foam is loose and silky. Can take a while to rinse it off if you overapply, because it likes to re-foam when rinsing. This can easily substitute a proper double cleanse. A little goes a long way. The scent is typical for Dermalogica, floral-earthy-herbal and not very intense. I’d say it’s an evening product, and not very suitable for morning cleanses, because it’s a DEEP cleanse and you don’t need it in the morning, it might even dry you out.
My thoughts:
I know the price might be steep, but it just never ends. I’ve used it 1-2 times per week and this took me 10 months to empty!!! 250 ml lasts ages, and especially if you’re a bit more conservative with the amount you use (I’m a notorious overapplier) you’ll easily see 3-4 months of nightly use out of this. And this substitutes an entire double cleanse! This takes off water resistant sunscreens and makeup in a single cleanse (Dermalogica confirmed this with instrumental studies), I’d add non-waterproof mascara to that mix. The only caveat I’ve seen here is the packaging. The lid is just not secure enough, it can leak in a cosmetic bag. This would have been a perfect score if the packaging improved.
For you, if: you cannot deal with a double cleanse in the evening, but you want something that properly deals with all the layers.
Not for you, if: you don’t like the price and/or foaming cleansers.
