Cetaphil Redness Control cleansing foam is a nice, cost-effective cleansing foam.
Actives:
- allantoin, dipotassium glycyrrhizate (soothing)
- caffeine
On application:
Medium thick foam that has a rather intense, floral scent. The packaging is convenient, 3-4 pumps are enough for a cleanse. I’ve been mostly using it as a morning cleanse, but it will do as a second double cleanse step. Easy to apply and rinse off, you really don’t have to rub it in due to its satisfactory slip. Gentle, pleasant experience.
My thoughts:
If only it were a bit less fragranced – I’d love it even more. It was my main morning cleanser for a couple months (yes, it lasts a WHILE). Its huge, 236-ml packaging is more than enough to use it for a long time. The gentle slip makes it less aggressive on the skin due the lack of rubbing needed – and rubbing may provoke redness. The supporting ingredients are minimal, but they make sense. It’s a surprise for me, because I did not enjoy their basic line (the cleansing emulsion and their moisturisers except from the great PS).
For you, if: you like cleansing foams and are looking for a redness-controlling one.
Not for you, if: you don’t like cleansing foams and/or heavily fragranced products.
