La Roche Posay Cicaplast serum is a good addition to the Cicaplast line.
Actives:
- 10% panthenol
- humectants (glycerin, sodium hyaluronate)
- Vitreoscilla ferment
On application:
Lightweight gel serum. It’s pretty cooling (no menthol and menthol-like ingredients), has no fragrance, absorbs quickly, doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. A little goes a long way. Unfortunately – it has the terrible old LRP dropper that makes the bottle grimy near the screw cap.
My thoughts:
You don’t have to be afraid of the alcohol in this formula – it isn’t drying or irritating, and the serum is pleasantly lightweight thanks to it. If you KNOW for a fact your skin doesn’t tolerate alcohol in any formulas – it’s a skip. It’s very nice after in-office treatments, I’ve tested it after a peel. The versatility is very good. There’s one note I have – why does a Cicaplast product not contain any cica?
Versus HyaluB5 – this one is less sticky, more hydrating, and much more soothing. There’s a clear winner.
Tip: use two/three layers, or under a multi-use silicone mask, or under a LED mask for extreme soothing.
For you, if: you’re looking for a nourishing-soothing versatile serum.
Not for you, if: you don’t tolerate alcohol in your skincare.
