Biologique Recherche P50 is a cult classic exfoliating toner
Actives:
- exfoliating acids – gluconolactone, lactic acid, citric acid, malic acid, phytic acid, salicylic acid
- sulphur
- vinegar
- niacinamide
- botanical extracts
On application:
Similar to P50W, but more intense. Can give you a temporary flushing experience if you’re not careful at the beginning!
My thoughts:
Theoretically it’s for oily skin, but I don’t really believe in such exclusionary intentions. If you need some additional exfoliation this is one of my go-to options, because it does it all – gives a glow, evens the texture of the skin, decongests, helps with discolouration… You have to watch out for overexfoliation though – while it’s not very irritating, it’s quite exfoliating. Just take it slow at the beginning. If you’re dry like me – go for P50W.
For you, if: your skin could benefit from some additional exfoliation, especially if it’s oily or you want to improve your skin’s texture.
Not for you, if: you don’t need exfoliation.
