Lancome Care&Glow is a foundation that is, surprisingly, not very glowy
Actives:
- prebiotics, mandolin acid, HEPES, botanical extracts
- Ensulizole organic sunscreen filter.
On application:
You can apply it with a brush, sponge or fingers with no problems. I apply my foundation in thin layers, building them up with my fingers or a small fluffy brush for that natural finish and texture. It feels like a serum on the skin, the foundation is lightweight and offers a medium, buildable coverage. Easy to apply, that’s for sure.
My thoughts:
The name suggests a glowy finish, and you won’t really find it here, especially if your base skincare layer isn’t very glowy and hydrating. It’s more of a neutral satin, that on my dry skin can dry down with time. It requires me to do some skin prep to wear better, but when it’s right it’s RIGHT. It can easily look neutral, natural and undetectable while giving a decent coverage. It’s one of my favourite foundations of all time, and it’s also a pretty likeable product even for picky skins. Get yourself a sample from a Sephulta.
Tip: mix with Watermelon Glow Drops on your hand for a more glowy, undetectable finish.
For you, if: you’re looking for a medium-coverage foundation with a non-matte, natural finish.
Not for you, if: you’re looking for either a glowy or a matte foundation.
